Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, have spent time on a humanitarian trip in Jordan. Now, the Duchess has been mocked by fans over one picture from the trip, accusing her of copying Kate Middleton.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are far removed from the drama surrounding the Royal Family. As the monarchy has shaken to its core with former Prince Andrew arrested, as well as his connections to late sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, the Duke and Duchess have focused on their business ventures as well as raising their children.
Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, live quite a different life from the one their father had when he was raised. A few years back, the family lived in a mansion in Montecito, California.
But while Harry and Meghan decided to leave royal life behind, it appears that some things never run out. The couple wanted a more private life for themselves and their children, but in recent years, after their departure from the Firm, they have still been taking trips to different countries, where they have been received as members of the Royal Family.
It reportedly has left both King Charles and Prince William furious. However, that hasn’t stopped the Duke and Duchess from continuing to travel the world, doing what some would call “royal outings.”
Meghan Markle mocked and accused of ‘copying Kate’
At the time of writing, Harry and Meghan have been spending time in Jordan. In their first international tour as a couple since August 2024, they have visited a refugee camp and met with hospitalized children from Gaza, among other activities.
However, one of those activities has now left fans mocking Meghan Markle. As she and her husband visited the QuestScope Youth Center at the Za’atari refugee camp near Mafraq in northern Jordan, Meghan was seen kicking a football with some of the children.
As pictures from the kickaround spread, fans quickly mocked Meghan for copying Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.
Per Express, “Cosplaying Catherine again. Meghan is obsessed with Catherine.”
Another wrote: “Ok this is actually kind of funny… never kicked a ball in her life.”
A third person said, “OMG !!!! They are trying so hard to be William and Catherine !! They left RF because they hated this kind of events and now look at them, they are soooo ridiculous !!! Look at her.”
A fourth added: “Look, I’m sporty too, you know!!! Wow she’s obsessed with Catherine.”

It’s well known that Kate Middleton has a strong passion for sports. She is often pictured taking part in sporting activities during her royal outings, and she is even a patron of the Rugby Football Union.
Some time ago, she even took part in rugby training drills alongside professional players from Maidenhead Rugby Club. Further, Kate Middleton has a huge love for tennis. The Princess of Wales was, like Meghan now, seen kicking a football during a visit to City of Derry Rugby Club in September 2021 in Northern Ireland.
